Choosing a district
Location shapes a London stay more than almost anything else. Mayfair and Marylebone suit guests who want the West End and its restaurants close by. Knightsbridge, Belgravia and Chelsea are quieter and residential, with major shopping on hand. Kensington sits beside its gardens and the South Kensington museums. The City of London suits those working in the Square Mile.

What to expect from a luxury rental
Standards and services vary by building, so we confirm the details with each quote. These are the features you will commonly find.
- Character buildings: many occupy renovated period properties, with features such as grand staircases and designer interiors
- Housekeeping: typically at least once a week, with extras such as laundry or butler service available at some residences
- Concierge: some residences have a 24-hour concierge who can help with bookings and transport
- Extra amenities: depending on the residence, gym or pool access and business support services
Why rent rather than book a hotel
A full kitchen or kitchenette, a separate living room and space to work make a real difference after the first few nights. Serviced apartments also tend to be more private, with fewer people passing through.
For longer stays, apartment rates often compare well with a hotel suite of similar standard.
